Tips for Storing and Reheating

Most of our breads keep well for 3-7 days except the rustica which is more of a 2-3 day affair. Breads like a bread box or a similarly low air flow area with the cut side down or covered. Bread does not like refrigerators or plastic generally, as the crust is compromised and moisture can be an issue. Flatbreads can be an exception to this rule sometimes.

,Our breads freeze beautifully. Just cut the amount you’d want to pull in the future, wrap and to thaw either place in a 375 degree oven for 15 minutes or until the bread has some “give.” Brushing with a little water or olive oil before the bread goes into the oven is a good trick but not necessary. Once the bread is reheated it’s shelf life is diminished. If you’d like to enjoy the bread longer thaw overnight and only reheat the part you want to eat right away.

Enjoy! Afiet Olsun, Sifa Olsun!
